My Story

I cannot begin to tell you all how much I miss each and everyone of you. I have been missing in action for a few months now. My family life has turned around so much that I don't know if I'm coming or going lately. Let me explain a little of what is going on.

I had my heart set on crafting with friends for a long time. My craft room was all set up and my business started gaining customers and friends daily. I was so happy to be doing facebook lives and share what I know with everyone watching. I was in my happy place everyday!!

About 9 months ago I was brought into court and given custody of my 4 grandchildren, all boys! My husband and I took on the responsibility without hesitation. They are our world. I have 19 grandchildren and each one of them hold a special place in my heart. The boys adapted immediately and were happy to be with us. I forgot after so many years how much work it is to raise children, especially BOYS! I tried to fit into my schedule, my crafting and doing some lives. This soon diminished to almost no interaction with my business as the time went on. Between school, taking care of the kids and my home and my husbands business and constant court dates, I found no time for myself. I sit and dream of doing what I love everyday. I've tried several times to figure out how to fit some me time in. It just never happens. I watch everyone else doing their lives and having so much fun with everyone and it has spiraled me into such a depression. My heart aches to get back to doing what I love. My craft room is stocked with supplies that I should be designing with. I am losing the battle. I keep posting in my planner every week a schedule to include my crafting. It never works out for one reason or another. I'm getting nowhere. I'm afraid all my friends who I have made along the way are going to forget about me. I'm sure a lot has already. I don't blame them. I'm hoping that somehow I can regain my strength to get back to doing what I love. It's so hard to have such drastic life changes at my age when I was so used to having all the time I needed to do for me. I'm hoping that explaining to you all why I've been so out of touch will help me to gain the strength that I need. I don't want to quit. Crafting is my life, its my outlet to so many things. This blog is not about quitting, it's about explaining how hard it is to juggle family and a business. It's about NOT quitting and finding ways to move on. It's about real life. It's about me and who I am.
